Job Description

Essential Job Duties

  • Manage and review complex tax engagements, including individual (1040), corporate, partnership, estate, trust, and multi-state tax returns.
  • Serve as the primary advisor on tax compliance, planning, and research, providing guidance on complex federal and state tax issues.
  • Independently manage a client portfolio/book of business while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, including seniors, supervisors, associates, and interns.
  • Review tax workpapers and returns for accuracy, technical compliance, and quality before issuance to clients.
  • Support practice growth and leadership initiatives, contributing to a potential partner-track career path within the firm.

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field; Master's in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) or candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing complex individual, corporate, partnership, estate, trust, and multi-state tax returns.
